Connect your AI assistant

Add ParentSync to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or another assistant so it can answer questions about your family.

Updated September 1, 2026

ParentSync can be connected to your AI assistant so you can ask things like "what does my daughter need for school tomorrow?" and get an answer from your real family data.

Go to Connected data → Your AI assistant in ParentSync, pick your assistant, and follow the steps there. The page gives you a connection link and a starter prompt.

Claude

  1. Open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector and paste the ParentSync connection link as the server URL.
  3. Sign in with your ParentSync account and approve the request.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced and turn on developer mode.
  2. Back in Connectors, choose Create and paste the ParentSync connection link as the MCP server URL.
  3. Sign in with your ParentSync account and approve the request.

Gemini and other assistants

  1. Open your assistant's connectors, extensions or MCP server settings.
  2. Add a new remote MCP server and paste the ParentSync connection link.
  3. Sign in with your ParentSync account and approve the request.

Check it worked

Paste this into your assistant:

Use my ParentSync connector: confirm the connection, then tell me what's on deck for the family next week — events, deadlines and anything overdue, grouped by child.

When your assistant answers, the "Connect your AI assistant" step in your setup checklist completes automatically.

What it can see

Your assistant signs in as you, so it only ever sees your own household — your children, calendars, events, to-dos and the school messages you forwarded. You can disconnect it any time from your assistant's settings.
